BIOGRAPHY

Gentucca Bini, born in Milan in 1970. During the 60’s her grandmother, Bruna Bini, couturier, in her own atelier in via Montenapoleone, created the first fashion collection with her artist’s friends Lucio Fontana, Enrico Baj, Arnaldo Pomodoro and Emilio Scanavino among them who represented the most relevant personalities of the artistic scene of the times. Gentucca’s father, Stefano with his two brothers, was the architect who created the image of Pierre Cardin’s in the 70’s, designing shops and buildings of the brand all around the world. As a consequence, such imprinting had a great impact on Gentucca’s professional career. After completing her studies of architecture and industrial design between Milan and Paris and after the decisive experience in Pierre Cardin’s atelier, Gentucca became André Léon Talley’s assistant. Thanks to him, Karl Lagerfeld noticed her work and selected her accessories for the Autumn 1997 Chanel Couture show.

“Gentucca Bini is running her new Milanese headquarter: FABBRICA BINI, a 1930's Factory where she designs and realizes her own collection and projects. A Cultural Hub in the old Stadera Quarter in Milano.”

This was the beginning of a close collaboration with him for Chanel and with many other important brands as Ferré and Blumarine creating and designing accessories for their catwalks for the seasons to come. That same year, 1997, Gentucca Bini launched her own brand still featured in her collections and she took officially part of Milano Fashion Week with her own catwalk since 2003. In 2006 she started her collaboration with Romeo Gigli’s brand as Creative Director in charge of men and women collections. In 2009 became creative director of McM corean luxury brand, in 2011 ManteroSeta creative director. Since 2014 she is collaborating with Alcantara Company for special projects as designer. Since 2017 she is collaborating with Bitossi who launched her famous Vaso Mano the same year. In September 2018 Gentucca signed the Milanese Alcantara company head quarter as Architect. At the moment she manages her own company and brand Gentucca Bini creating her own collection and special projects and cooperates with many prestigious brands realizing fashion and design projects in her new milanese Headquarter, FABBRICA BINI, a 1930s factory which is her new own district for Design and research.
